Default 98 900RR no start

Hey All, I'm new to the board and new to CBR's. (I have been riding for 20+ yrs now) Anyways I just got this 900 and let me tell ya it's fantastic! I put 600km's on it in the first weekend I had it. On to my issue, I shut the bike down after a small run, restarted the bike after 45min and put in the shop like everyday. Went out this morn and she cranks but won't start. She always started with in a second or two. I've checked for spark with a new plug in #1 boot and grounded it against the header bolt, no spark. Not sure where to go from there. Since the bike cranks can I rule out the kill switch, kick stand switch and the "N" switch? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks Rick

Ok so I also checked the voltage at my coils. All four pins r the same. Koeo 13v or battery voltage. Cranking with my meter on 200v setting they show 8/9v. Shouldn't I be seeing 100v at a minimum? How can I tell if it is the ICM or not? What causes them to go, and do they just go like a light bulb? Oh yeah there's 80k kms on the bike too.

Can it be the R/R?

also put this question in the 900rr section too so others can chime it.

Had the same issue on a 929 I was doing a valve service on. Ended up being a bad ground issue where the wiring harness loom had rubbed a hole through where it passes by the fuel rail. Almost impossible to see with the harness still in the bike.

Ok so I've been testing some stuff at the ICM. I've got 13v on 3 wires and ground on 3. It appears that the 3 power wires are all from the battery, ignition and kill switch. I really think it may be the ICM but I'd like to be sure. Is there any way for me to test that? Also the "signal generator" how can that be tested? AC voltage? What should I be looking for? Really want to get this bike up n running again, thanks

Got it! Found an older post on another forum that was a huge help. Turned out I have high resistance (open) in my anti theft wire. Cut the wire put a 9v battery in series. BAM away she went! WOOO HOOO!!!! Any ways here's a link.
