So I have worked here and there on sportbikes but not enough to retain anything that would be useful to me now. I wish I knew more about the beautiful machine I ride but unfortunately am mechanically stupid sometimes. I have a 1993 CBR900RR and am having issues. After struggling to get her started I decided to ride around and keep the rpm's high to charge up the battery. She died three times before I parked back in my driveway. I replaced the battery and made sure the starter was good. Now, it may or may not start but when I let it warm up, the rpm's will slowly go farther down until it dies. When I try to restart, it acts like it has no battery but the lights and guages are on full. What should I do?

 

sounds like the regulator/rectifier, common problem with these 900rr's
