97 cbr f3 will not start!
So last week my dad was riding my 1997 cbr f3 and while going up a hill he lost power and the bike shut off. I have tried reading trough the forums but no one seems to have the answers im looking for. Everything is electrically fine. I try to turn it on and it just will not turn over. It almost seems as if it's not getting any gas at all. It was running just fine before this happened. I checked the spark plugs they look like there in good condition. But i just want to know what the problem is. Could it be the carbs? Or the fuel pump? The lines seem pretty clean when i checked them. Any help would be appreciated.

When you say it won't turn over, the starter isn't working? or the bike won't fire up?
Does it try to start at all? I assume you have checked all the fuses? Not just visually
but replaced with known good ones? Some people miss the 30amp main fuse, under the seat, built into the starter-relay housing. That's the start if no electric at all.
If it just won't start and idle, pull the connector on the Regulator/Rectifier.
It's the foward-most module, under the right-side cover. It has 3 yellow, a red and
a green wire going to it (for a total of 5). If the connector shows heat-sign (melted
plastic/burnt/charring then your R/R is failing/has failed. The brutal summer we are
having is taking it's toll on the older-bikes. (imo)
There are several R/R threads that have good diagnostic info in them, if that
is the issue.
Hope this gives you some direction, Ern
