Hello freinds .i hope someone can help me with this,my gearbox has started geting quite noisey.shes done 24,000 miles been very well maintained.with regular oil changes at under 1000 miles each time...I am hopeing its not going be a strip down and re-build as i am going the isle of mann tt on her in june .so is it a common problem ?is she going to be ok?is there anything i can do to quieten her down ..thanks in advance ...

Hello ,i suppose the best way to discribe the noise is a rough whine .but the gear changes are still smooth and doesnt feel rough at all.

 

sounds like the gears may be a bit worn if its happening all the time and not just during shifts, etc
