Default 8000 mile service

Just bought a CBR600FS on a Y reg which to the rest of u'sz is a CBR F4i? Its done 7700miles so its due at least an oil change if not more. Where can I obtain a workshop manaul? (not keen on £400 for a sevice) And what are the potential pitfalls? I'm Mechanical Engineer and I've worked on my own car for over three years so not the worst with the spanners but got the ***** to admit I'm no pro so any help would be greately appreciated. Cheers peeps.

Get the manual and save some $$$. You know your limits and if a particular job seems over your head take it to the stealer-ship. Only regular maintenance item around 8000mi that might be tricky is checking valve clearance. And honestly just getting the valve cover off is 90% of the battle.

Bike looks nice and clean. Check the chain though, looks kinda tight in the pic.

Cheers bud, how many stealerhips do you think check all the **** they're supposed to? Know my Dad's MillieR need checked from stone cold to check the valve clearances. Getting a workshop manual on disc from ebay for £4 as Halfords wanted £20 the manual! [:'(] Will check it out properly once its trailered over a the weekend before I go offshore again. Cheers.
