I mostly liked it for tip #2. That might be useful.

As for the shield... matter of taste, I don't like and I believe he's show boating and hanging off just to drag a knee, but that needs to be answered by one of our track guys/gals.

I am dumb (lets get the obvious out of the way) so can someone explain the vanishing point? I am having a hard time picturing this.

Also +1 for the article Don....

The vanishing point is the point where your vision combines the two sides of the road. Like a drawing of a road meeting the horizon... they form a point. What it's saying is that if the vanishing point isn't moving away from you and you're getting closer to it, slow down. If the vanishing point appears to be moving away from you, chase it. You can speed up and try and catch it as it opens up and you make it around the corner.

Did this help any?

Great info don, I agree with tip #2, and also in trusting your tires, lots of people get overwhelmed with this, but again great info and it shall be passed........

Don,
I will try it the next time I am on to see if it makes sense. If it doesn't do you want to come over and ride on the back to show me? Just kidding.

Thanks again for the great article.

You’re a lot braver than I am... I'd never climb on the back of my bike with me piloting it. And yes... I do mean piloting. Sometimes I think if we had wings on them.... **** it be fun. Don't know where we'd land, but we would have fun trying.

Yo that was a dope article. I wish Bridgehampton was still open. It's not fair they take all the sick places to ride from us but they crucify us when we corner on the street.[sm=rant.gif]

Very interesting.... I'm making myself a note for the next ride to study this "vanishing point" idea...

This is the first time I've ever heard of cornering explained using that term.

Is this "old news" or is this something new for you more experienced riders also?

I like #3, as we all know practice(practise) makes perfect, or at least close enough. Besides, I don't have tyres, I have tires...
