3 cylinders and gas puddle under the bike...
Scenario,
rode my F2 Fri night, no problems, ran great. Filled the tank up a few miles from the house and headed for the barn. Parked it and went inside - anticipating a good 70 degree weekend for riding.
Later Fri. night came down with food poisoning, spent til Sunday night curled up on the couch instead.
Went to ride to work today, walked out, key on, choke on, cranked right up. somethings weird though - bike settled down into a low 600-700 rpm idle, even w/ choke on, and sounds like I'm on 3 cylinders.
I blip the throttle a few times, and she's still on 3 cylinders, nothing's changing.
Then I start smelling fuel and notice a puddle forming under the front fairings.
so I threw a match at it all and am claiming it on insurance.
Oh, wait, never mind - yeah I turned it off and put my gear back up.
I'm guessing I might have a float or a needle stuck, causing a float bowl to overfill and pour out the overflow tube?
I've been wanting to do a basic carb cleaning anyway, I think my pilot circuit is leaned out too much anyhow. Just with prime riding weather already here, I should have done it back during the winter.
