Default Just went thru a pretty deep puddle (caught in rain storm)... what to check for?

So I just home from a huge thunder/rain storm here and on my way home I went through a fairly deep puddle of water, should I check for anything on my bike? Can bikes hydrolock? Water in engine?

I'm not sure if the water was deep enough to reach the air intakes.. what if it was? I'm sure they weren't fully submerged but it was a fairly deep puddle

On hindsight I probably shouldn't have went through it but I panicked. I made it through the puddle but is there anything I should check for? Can bikes hydrolock? Water in engine?

Does to bike run? Was the "puddle" deep enough to reach the air ducts?

Just dry it off, lube the chain, and make sure that the oil if free of water.

You rode home after the puddle so obviously the engine didn't hydrolock. Clean and lube your chain and don't worry so much. I swear my bike was a submarine at one point the intersection was so flooded and life went on.....

yeah the bike runs, like I went through the puddle and continued on my merry way; just couldn't stop thinking about it

the puddle might've been deep enough to reach the air ducts, but not submerge them

besides hydrolock... what else could've happened?

Hahaha that's awesome, at least he didn't have to worry about it over heating, or getting hurt. You could just float away from a lowside.
