Default 2006 CBR600RR OIL FILTER STUCK, HELP

I need some help guys, my oil filter is stuck and will not come off. I have tryed using a oil filter socket to get it off but it wont budge. Anyone have any good ideas to get it off? My socket is starting to round off the filter so the socket is about useless now. Thanks.

Hammera screw driver through it and turn left, make sure it's long though. You'll want the leverage.

1. Maybe get a sheet metal screw through the Filter wrench (clearance hole) and into the filter (pilot hole) and then turn it (best if they are on the side). Maybe you could get two screws in, that would be better.

2. Clean both good and JB weld one to the other.

Screw driver works too, but I dont know how much room there is. Also don't get too close to the flange.

also try getting a leather belt and wrapping it around the filter...then using your bare hands to twist it off...some people also think you can wrap the belt tight enough to where it will make its own torque so you can just pull down on the belt...remember lefty loosey!

that looks like a great tool. I may just get me one of those. by the looks of it, the more torque you put on it, the tighter the grip it gets on the filter, so very unlikely it will slip like a strap wrench.

My car uses a m1-110 from mobil and it works GREAT every time. I believe the f4i uses a m1-103 or 108 So it should fit just the same.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

You suggest this, he's going to end up putting a hole right through the filter and into the oil cooler.

Use a band wrench or a filter wrench.

If your doing an oil change its ok to put a hole thru it. And there is absolutely no way in HELL you will be a hole thru the oil cooler with a screwdriver
