Just picked up a mint 06 cbr 60rr wth 1,123 miles.

Riding it home, bars read 3 , bike dies OUT OF GAS

Push it to a gas station and fill up and ride home.

Bars still say 3 , shake it a bit, put a little more gas, bars say 2.

WTF

Is the pin stuck , is the system needing replacement ??

W T F !!!!!

 

I would measure out the milage of a full tank down to a gallon and just watch your milage, these gas gauges cant be trusted.

 

Funny, I have the same problem with my 06 cbr 1000. I asked the same question as you but no one answered... just like yours... its funny because no one replies to here or www.1000rr.net so i guess we are on our own.. I am probably going to buy a used one off of ebay... unless that fails or find out a way to fix it. then I guess i have to buy the new one for 300.
