Default 2004 Yamaha R1

Has anyone else ridden a 2004 R1?
I took my buddies R1 to the shop today because he was out of town and needed new rubber installed and man O man what a difference from my 954. Every time I leaned into a turn it felt as if the bike wanted to go back up to 90 degrees (Straight). Thinking maybe it was just me on a different bike, I tried a few other turns(lefts and rights) and the same thing happened. It was like there was a line tied to the bike that kept trying to pull me up every time I leaned into a corner. Nothing like my 54.
Is this a common thing on the R1?
ANYONE?

Probably a squared off tire as it was going in for new rubber. That'll do that to a bike.

I heard Yamahas are real shaky, a lot of wobble.

Well other than the tires being worn. I have ridden an 03 R1 and you set higher on the bike. More like your setting way on top of it than kinda inside sorta if you know what i mean. If you torque on it when your in a corner anyways its gonna wanna come up to 90 degrees.

I've ridden quite a few diff honda's. The one time I rode an 05 R6 however it really impressed me. It was the most well balance bike i have ever ridden. Brakes were also phenomenal. If I were to go out and buy a brand new bike today it would deffinitely be a yamaha.
