Default 2001 Cbr929rr tail light wiring trouble

I'm having a lot of trouble getting my tail light to even work on my bike, all the wires that are supposed to have power do but I can't figure out why it won't work. When I purchased the bike the wires for the tail were all chopped. The tail light might be bad or there might be a grounding issue with the wiring harness. I have looked up the wiring diagrams and know which wires should be hooked up. Like the brown and white should power the brake light but there's 3 different B&W wires and there's 2 green and white which are supposed to power the running light. Kinda lost, my next step is to try grounding it to the bikes frame, if that doesn't work I'm going to order a new tail light. Any insight you guys have will help for sure

Is this an aftermarket tail light?
