Default 2001 cbr f4i speedometer

So guys looking to see who might know this issue or has ran into it before. So my speedometer shows how fast im going when i first start riding, then it will go away and show just 0, then it will come back after a couple mins of riding and work for the rest of the ride. If any one has any light on the subject let me know.
also ive done some searching around on google for other forums but really havent found much info on this issue.

it usually works when i first start the bike then after about 10 mins of riding the speedometer will stop showing the speed and stops recording miles, then it will come back, and other times the speedometer will work the entire ride no problem. Idk if its the gauge cluster causing the issue or if is the speed sensor.

Id start with checking all the connections on the gauge cluster and coming off the speed sensor. could be a bad connection or a pinched wire somewhere.

not sure if its just the digital guage itself or if its the speed sensor that goes down in to the transmission?
