2001 929rr fuel pump no priming
The issue I’m having is my fuel pump stopped working and I tested that hooking it up to the battery and it kicks on it just won’t turn on when I turn the key. I’m getting Power to the plug where the fuel pump plugs in and I tried switching the relays around so I know it’s not that. You can hear and feel it klick in the relay when I hit the engine kill switch. The last time i rode The bike when I got home and went to start it the battery was dead so I just grab some jumper cables and when I was trying to hook it up one of the cables hit something and threw some sparks so I’m wondering if that didn’t have something to do with it and just hoping that it then fry the ECU on it. Any advice on that would greatly be appreciated
There is a fuse, a 20A that is specifically for FI. It is near the battery, but not in the Fuse Box. In the manual it's called the PGM-FI Fuse Holder. Maybe you popped that one with those sparks.
Why was the battery dead after riding it? I'd say you should investigate your charging system and see if it has failed.
The fuel pump runs through the bank angle sensor. Make sure that it is plugged in and in position. You may want to temporarily bypass it to see if it has failed. (jump the outer wires together)

Okay I got this CBR929rr two months prior off craigslist, it was destroyed and the whole bicycle was remade and sold by the first proprietor with 13k miles on it. I put 3k miles on it as of now with ZERO issues. Saturday it required 5 minutes for my bicycle to prime, then ran fine for a little while, then, at that point, out of the blue it kicked the bucket on me on the turnpike, so I pulled off and held up 10 minutes, didn't prime for one more 15 subsequent to flipping the switch on and off multiple times, drove it home and it passed on once more, similar to someone hit my killswitch. My mate came, we knock began it and he rode it for an hour and said it checked out. Rode it for an additional 5 hours that day no issues.

BAS on my '05 CBR600RR would act up in winter and not allow bike to start. I'd take it off, warm it up a little and shake it around. Then re-install and bike starts up just fine. I suspect commuting to S.F. allows some fog and moisture to get inside. Then that would freeze up when temps dropped low enough. And that somehow disabled it, odd. Didn't want to risk taking it apart and breaking it. So I keep bike in garage now.
