Default 2-stroke geely moped spark problem

So I know this isn't about any honda product, but I've been working on a family friend's moped trying to get it running. it had plenty of spark when i started to tear it apart, but somehow in the process i dropped a screw down behind the flywheel/magnet. didn't realize it at first and turned over the engine a few times now i have a constant voltage going to the ignition coil. doesnt look like any of the pick up wires were damaged... anyone know what the problem is? its on a 49cc 2-stroke Geely moped... any help is greatly appreciated.

maybe it damaged the pick up itself or the teeth on an exciter ring.
