1990 cbr 1000 f
whats up forum ... i have recently purchased a 90 cbr 1000 f ... it needs some minor work and im not an expierienced mechanic ... however i am attempting to fix some of the problems my self ...anyhow im working on the fuel system and was wondering ... there is a fuel vent tube that comes from my tank its been disconnected since i bought the bike ..is this tube suppossed to be connected to cylinder one on my carb ??? anyone who knows ... please respond .. thanks Jeff
If its the vent tube that comes from under the tank, then no, it doesnt go to a carb. It is supposed to have a hose that will reach the outside of the frame of the motorcycle. The idea that if you do get any gas overflow from the tank, it will exit a safe distance from the engine and also away from your tires. Mainly though, its just a vent so the tank can breath while gas is used by the engine.
