Turn signals not working . Can anyone tell me where to start looking . Please keep in mind that I have very little knowledge when it comes to working on bikes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This really isn't a whole lot to go on.

Mine weren't working either when I first got it back together. When I would activate the turn signal switch, the running light on the corresponding front signal would go off, but neither the front or back would flash. When I cancelled the signal (push the switch in instead of right or left), the front signal running light would come back on.

If this is the same problem you are experiencing, the problem is the flash module. It is on the left side of the bike, above the rear wheel about 6 or 7 inches aft of the voltage regulator/rectifier assembly. When I replaced mine, everything worked again.

Not really sure what it would cost. To be honest, it happened to me on a Sunday. So, I went to Autozone and bought a cheap automotive one for $9. I spliced it into my wiring harness and it works like a charm.

If you buy a factory original one, anyone can install it. It is a simple 3-wire black plug for the flasher module. If you can take the left side cover off, you can replace it yourself.

OKay i got it off but it looks like it will be cheaper to do the same thing you did . Do you have a part number or what do I ask for at the parts store?

I'll pull the cover off in the morning and send you the numbers off of it.

But, I basically went to the electrical section of Autozone and looked for the cheapest, and smallest3-wire 12-volt flasher module that I could find. I distinctly remember that the package said "Flasher module with bulb out indicator". Or something to that effect.

I'll take a picture of mine so you can get the correct pinout. Only one of the 3 wires is hot.

Ok Ken. I took a couple of photos, one with the flash, the other without. And I made you a diagram of how I wired it. I could not find a manufacturer designation on the module, but it had EP-35 on it and 0297BA on the side.

Ok, I guess I can't post pics without putting them on a website first. Sorry.

Anyway. I had an old 3-prong connector around from putting accessories on Goldwings. Looking at the rear of the connector with the locking clip on top and the flasher module laying such that the center pin is up and the other two flank it left and right:

The middle connector from the flasher goes to the center pin on the 3 pin connector. The left of center connecton goes to the right pin on the flasher, and the right pin on the plug goes to the left pin on the flasher.

That should do it.

Definitely the cheaper option - new Honda part is $37 - disgraceful !
Posting photos is easy, BigA - even I can do it.
Load your pictures on the computer - I put mine on desktop until finished with them.
Click on "click to upload" - (bottom of this box )there are five boxes which will then display
Click browse, and find your first pic
press OK
Proceed to the next one, again, click ok
(Make sure pics are correct size 500x350 works OK)
When you've loaded them all, click OK at the botom of the box.
Done......(unless I missed something)
