1989 600cc electrics are messed up
Okay so..
I got this project that was 100% running before project was started.
Now wires are all messed up. At the moment all i know is that it will not start.
I don't know will the starter even turn, bike at the moment is 50km away from me.
All wires have been cut and soldered back and stuff..
So what i need, is somewhat info on how to start that thing?
Some guide where does voltage need to go from where to this thing to spark and light up.
This is my first bike, i have worked with cars for years and am pretty confident about my skills to set this thing on right track.
But, as said, i have no prior experience on bikes.
If i could get some sort of guideline how to light this thing up, then i am golden from there on.
Like "turn ignition on, and there should be power on...
Then Press start and there should go power from .... to ....".
I know this might be mixed with me saying i am confident and capable of working myself with this, but this is my first bike, ever.
When i go to bike first time, i want to have clear image on what and where should happen and when to get spark.
Give me a car and i will start it (or atleast identify problem)
.
But bikes.... Don't know it they are that different
?
Ignition to on, there should be power on....?
Press start and there should be power on starter, if not..?
If bike starts but there is no spark check...?
You catch my drift =)
But for 100% bike was driven there and then cut wires and all messed.

Moro vaan Tampereelta!
Bikes are even easier than cars and a 600 from '89 is as easy as it gets electrics wise probably. Im not entirely sure if I understood the question, but with the key turned to the "on" position you should have headlights, indicators and dash lights on. Then after pressing the ignition, the starter motor should turn. Following that, if the starter turns (and you have spark, fuel and air) the bike should run.
Good luck and enjoy the project!

Thank you for reply.
I should clear this a bit =).
So at the moment, as i have understood, it does nothing when "Start" is being pressed. My first thing is buy new battery when i go see the bike, but apparently there is no spark.
There were spark, bike was driven to garage. Then project started and wires were cut. After that they are again soldered together but as said, apparently no spark.
At some phase, starter has said click (hence, i will buy first new battery).
But what i want to know is that where to look at first, what wires are crucial for this bike?
I assume there should be voltage on gauges (there is KOSO? aftermarket gauges installed) so i dont know if they work.
But there should be going full voltage on starter, and starter solenoid trough "start" after it is pressed.
Then engine will start. Coil should have voltage too,
Hmm i again made a mess of this, let's try this way.
What wires are crucial, essential, for this bike to start and run? From what to where?
After i get that thing to start and running, i can sort all other stuff on my own but for the moment, i have no clue pretty much about nothing with this bike.
When i go see the bike, all i just see are wires and i don't know where they go, and what they are.
Naturally i can and will solve it with meter and inspecting, but that is taking loads of time.
As said, i have worked with cars for years and i am pretty handy with them but with this i am hoping a little "head start" before i go mess with the bike.
Where to look fault at first if there indeed is no spark?
Like "from ignition there should go voltage on ******, then there should be voltage on ****** trough ********, and bike will start.
Bike itself is old as **** (i like it pretty much because of that, and cheap price)
.
So all it wants is gasoline and spark.
