Help!! No spark, starter relay melted a little turns but wont start
ok so yesterday riding home from work went to pass a car that was driving badly, got on the throttle and took off around him then as soon as i got passed him lost power battery acted like it was dead dim lights and slow turn. called a tow they said lets try a jump to save u money first. jumped me off of the jump box started rite up. ran fine. same thing happend the next day made it to work then on the way home it died. jump and run. next day wont start at all? turns over and wont start. i can feel the pressure comming out the tail pipe and the carbs are sucking air. so i started checking electrical. found a melted starter relay and the connection to it was melted as well. cleaned off the connections to check if it was just loose and caused a short tried to start again started and ran for about 1 min till i gave it just a little gas. died. wont start at all. so i went through a process i found online. said check the plugs to see if their getting spark. guess what no spark layed the plug on the head of the engine for ground and turned it no spark checked a few other ground spots still no spark. is the starter relay causeing all this cause its still trying to turn over just no spark? im lost ant dont want to spend a million dollars so please help me !!
If you don't have a spark, then the first thing to check is do you have 12v at the Ignition Coils on the Black/White wire ? To make this check, the Ignition Switch should be in the ON position and the Engine Stop switch in the RUN position and the bike in neutral.
