Default 16T to 14T Front Sprocket

Hi, Is there any reason I wouldn't be able to swap my front 16 tooth sprocket with a 14 tooth? I'm going for some low end power Thanks.

Dropping down two teeth on the front certainly will do that for you. However, you'll be running at a somewhat higher rpm for the same speed on the road.

Some guys who did a popular -1/+2 gearing change and mainly ride on the street said they did not like the higher rpm and switched back to stock. Your -2 on the front is the same as going -1/+3, an even more extreme change than what they did.
