09 CBR 1000RR connecting rod bearing & main journal bearing Color codes?
Hello everyone! im new to the forums, my apologies if ive posted this in the wrong thread/forum.
Ive just recently purchased a 09 cbr 1000rr with 25k miles for cheap, but it had rod knock. thought id take on the challenge of getting it back onto the road.
ive already got the engine out and taken apart, and all of the connecting rod bearings are SHOT out! my main journal bearing look damn near new though! but while I'm inside of the engine i might as well replace both. another concern i had was my oil pump chain looks REALLY loose, I'm told that is normal though.
Ive gotten my color "codes" as well
on crank shaft: L 22223
L BBBB
on crank case: AAAAA
on connecting rod: B2 B2 B2 B2
(From #1 -#4)
all i need to know is the color codes for both connecting rod bearings and main journal bearings because i dont have the service manual and dont feel like spending $60 on one haha. Would also love to know my oil clearances, plan on using plasti gauge to measure them all. might as well do it right, right?
what else should i look for, maybe replace, inspect, etc, while i have my engine open??
I appreciate any help in advanced!
