Default 08 ECu installed in an 09 600rr

i just wanted to see how many of you 09ers have gone ahead and swapped out your ECU's for eith 07's or 08's. The 09 lost power on the top end. I have read anywhere between 5-10hp. I've also read that you can get that back cheaper than buying a PC5 plus the IRC.

Simply by swapping the ECU to an 07-08 will get your power back. I tried it and the ecu that i purchased kept throwing the FI light and a code for a bad knock sensor. Once I swapped my 09 ECU back in the code went away. Have any of you encountered this problem?
