04 1000rr brake noise
my 1000rr has 1200 miles and when ever i brake from like 25 mph up I hear this noise coming from the front of the bike and can also feel it in the brake lever its a grinding/roaring/humming noise. but it goes away as soon as i get off the front brake does anyone have this problem. THANKS
If it's a sort of whirring noise then it's normal. Just the noise made from the holes in the rotor rubbing on the pads. If you actually feel pulsing in the lever then you may have a warped rotor.
its not a pulsation but more like a grinding feeling roaring sound like bearing noise but goes away when I release the brake lever and if I re-apply the brake it takes a second to come back
That's the problem with the stock exhaust -- you hear way too much. I'm thinking with a good aftermarket exhaust you won't even notice
As long as you don't feel a pulse in the lever and the rotors aren't scarred up then I'd say it's just the noise that brakes make. Mine made a whirring-roaring sound (different from other bikes I've owned) before I put the 2Bros on there. Since the brakes on the 1kRR were the BEST I'd ever experienced I just decided that a bit of noise was worth the extra stopping power.
