Is your fan coming on? It should be coming on around 223-225. If its not check your fuses.

Have you changed your oil lately? Or the air cleaner? My 02 runs at 225 on a hot summer day. The radiator flush is also something to look at.

I am having similar issues with my bike. When the temperature is 25 degrees outside, my bike gets hot enough torequire the fan to kick on. It doesn't overheat, it just heats up to the point of the fan coming on and thats it. I know the issue isn't due to my coolant being old because I have changed it out every year. I did change the thermostat thinking it might be due to a failed thermostat and it still runs hot. The fan is working because I can visually see the fan work. I don't think I'll be able runaroundon my bike this summer because it'll overheat. Anyone have an idea as to what might is causing my bike to run hot?

The issue of cooling can be caused by poor flow of coolant. You could have some debris in your lines. Flushing the coolant means not just draining it, but also running water through the system to flush out all the lines. Clearing those lines could solve your issue.
