Default 02 F4i Keeps trying to start!?

OK, weird problem....
I shut off my bike and pulled the key out, but the engine kept turning over like I was pressing the start button. I played with the start button to make sure it wasn't smashed in. I messed with the kill switch. I messed with the key in the ignition. It kept doing it. So I put it in neutral and turned the key to "on" and it starts right up and runs just fine without pressing the start button.
It keeps trying to start but it won't unless the kill switch is set to "run" and the key is "on" in the ignition. I'm about to go tear into it and see what the problem is but I really don't know where to begin looking. I did a quick search on here and couldn't find anything either.

Anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to drive my car to work....

I *think* it is the starter relay. I tested it with my ohm meter and it has a dead short.

yea I would say relay or if your bike has gotten rained on alot the starter button could be sticking on the inside at the contacts, easy fix is to remove the switch and check it. And for the relay ohms test and maybe even the old tap with a screwdriver.
