Cross posting -- taboo
Cross posting is when identical threads are started in different sections.
Other forums that I am on or moderate don't allow cross posting.
It divides info. Instead of having one good thread, you get two less good ones.
Also, after you post, you may see that the thread starter was already answered on the other cross post, and then you say, "why did I bother!" to your self. More consideration should be given to contributors as well as how the information is stored and handled, than to just post the same exact questions/threads and not care at all to the forum.
I thought cross posting was a universally unaccepted thing on forums.
Just some thoughts.
Thanks for reading and [for] the consideration.
EDIT: in brackets.

You're right -- it's usually frowned on. We haven't had a lot of problems with it so far. Usually it's someone who doesn't quite understand that these boards aren't IM and they need/want an answer fast. I'll see what the others think about this issue.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I know we don't allow it for the most part. I would make an exception if it was a tech issue and someone posted a question in the general tech board and then in the bike specific board. Thats about the only time i'd permit it. If you see any posts that you have questions on, pm myself or chain and we will get it taken care of. Thanks.
Well, I am still glad to be here. I wasn't picking on the one guy that I recently noticed, but just seen it once before. Another occurance was between "General Tech" and "CBR 900RR" -- no biggie.
And here is what think of the site overall as I posted on this thread:

Glad you made it here.
This is a very friendly site.
I never find know-it-alls, post ******, or trolls here at all.
And the people do appreciate the help, if you ever give them any...
