I'm all for ads for supporting the costs of a website, maybe making a little side money, but they are getting slow, pointless, and, worst of all, intrusive.

Page loads are significantly slower with most ads, especially since they have to load before a thread does (can be easily fixed with CSS and Javascript changes). Intrusive ads that float across the screen, on top of content I want to read, and have a close button that's smaller than an emoticon, make me want to close the window immediately.

I know a lot of the moderators and such on this forum have nothing to do with it, because this is only one website owned by a larger company, and they don't really care as long as they make money. But the problem will only get worse if it's not brought up.

only ads I see are the ones to the right.

Free is nice, but when the ads run everyone off because the ads are intrusive n annoying, then wtf is gonna read em????
