02 f4i mid-pipe
Local exhaust shops apparently can't bend a pipe unless it consists of 6 bends. Need a mid-pipe to clean up the cosmetics on my bike. If you have one, let me know what you want for it. Just the mid-pipe. I have two yoshimura mufflers, so I don't need a full slip on.
I bought a Yoshimura slip on mid pipe for my 02 F4I in April 2010 but the inlet to the muffler was bigger than the inlet of my muffler so I alway had black carbon blowing on my muffler. I recently bought a second mid pipe that has a smaller diameter and actually fits the inlet of my muffler on the inside instead of the outside. If your interested I can send you some measurements and pictures to make sure this is what your looking for. I don't have the springs. Price is 75.00 shipped to the U.S. Contact me at r_nancy@bellsouth.net

vangill -- Did they do a good job? My mid pipe was about 3 inches too short. The local exhaust shop took it made an "exact" copy of it, and it didn't come close to being correct.. which is why they ended up bending it six times. I saw you had an rr swingarm for sale? Did you do the exhaust out the undertail, or did you not get that far before changing up your design? At this point I'm seriously considering selling my bike and trying to find a 600rr.
Tanrush -- Thanks for the offer, but I'm not looking to spend that much. My pipe now has no leaks just looks ugly as sin.

no i like the exhaust on the side, but it wouldnt be too hard to get it to go out the undertail. i didnt actually have them make me one bc my wife threw a fit lol. i have heard nothing but good things about them and they promised that it would look exactly the same, just different type of tubing. if it looked any different i wouldnt pay them lol
The reason the muffler shops can't do it is it takes a special piece of equipment (most don't have) to make the bends without crunching the pipe. I believe it is called a mandrell bender. For car exhausts under the car it doesn't matter what they look like as long as they are bent properly, not so with a motorcycle where everyone can see it and the bends need to be smooth.
I'd be okay if the pipe had 3 bends in it, but the guy bent the pipe to match my existing mid pipe and it didn't come close to lining up right so he proceeded to bend it a couple more times to get it to fit. Now the muffler is angled way up.. which looks weird but not bad. I'll put pics up tomorrow. It's just not cosmetically appealing.
