Default Converting back to reg pipe from straight pipe

Okay, I bought my 01 f4i with an aftermarket header and straight piped right out the side of the fairing, looks good but is loud as a diesel semi without the hood on. Anyways I am wanting to get something quick, but sounds good for a reasonable price.

Buy a used header off eBay and grab one of the cheap Dan-moto or Delkevic exhausts.

Out of curiosity, who made the header that is currently on the bike?

I am not sure the brand of it, I can look here in a little bit, are those decent pipes or do they sound like ****? I will upgrade to a yoshimura carbon after I rebuild my del sol, but I just moved into a neighborhood and I don't want to wake people up when I go to work at 4a.m. I am fine keeping my sheader on it now or will the pipe not help it much? I want a deep tone.

The Danmoto Carbon GP's are supposed to be super loud. I just ordered one of their JISU exhausts for my rebuild - I may be able to do a review in a few weeks.

The JISU or large Delkevik carbon cans on a stock header should give you a nice low rumble. The smaller the can the louder it will be, the larger the bore the lower the note. Carbon cans usually have a lower note and stainless cans more raspy.

You could always try to score a second hand can without the midpipe and have an exhaust shop fab a midpipe to fit your current header.

I am just needing something not loud at an idle I can have somewhere custom fab I'd prefer as minimal as possible. So which exhaust would be a nice low tone but sound good still with minimal modification to get it to fit?

The point I was trying to make is that taking the bike to an exhaust shop might cost less and give a better result. Used headers aren't cheap and it will take time to reach you. If this is your daily ride, you might want to resolve the issue ASAP.

Read above for advice on which can to get.

Aight yeah I'll hunt for a can and have it custom fitted to the bike or just spend the money on a yoshi carbon.
