Default Straight Pipe

So i have this urge to just chop off my ugly stock muffler and just run a shorty with no baffels and i was just wondering if it would mess the bike up at all by running a straight pipe i just dont want to burn up my motor.

It will probably lean it out a whole lot, which leads to hot running conditions and eventually cooked valves etc.

Oh and you'll probably go deaf, that sucks too.

just find a slip-on get a shop to chop about 6" off and get them to put a jet kit in the carbs... you will like it a lot more then just a header... look at my pic on the "cbr f2 pic" thread

I figured it would lean it. The thing is that i dont really want to mess with the jetting, but i dont want to run the stock pipe either. Hmmm decisions.

The shorty looks nice btw, the paint is great too hopefully my f2 will look that nice someday.

yea you would still have to jet the carbs no matter what... if you want more power and all... there easy to do search the forum they tell you step by step... ebay has a 2 bros wither header for $150 i almost bought it just to have it lol

about 15$(spray paint and sandpaper) you can make it any color... lol thats all i did i cleared it the other day it looks even better!

Here's mine, it even shorter than that now, I cut another 2" out of the D&D and 2 more inches from the header pipe ahead of it.

You will definitely need to re-jet for it, pretty much as ANY decent exhaust upgrade or change would require.

Shortys represent :-D My last F2/3 hybrid was running just a header. It was super F'n loud!! I could lay into the rev-limiter and you could feel **** rattle inside your head.. I like my **** loud, but that was a bit much.. Heres the setup on my F2. @bros F/S with 8'5" chopped outta the canister. Sounds pretty nice, could be a little louder
