Sorry bud but I don't think I can be off too much help here. All bike I see with an aftermarket pipe just take the shield off. I think the bike looks better with it on so if I do go with a aftermarket pipe I wold want it on there as well. The only thing i can think off is drill a hole in the bike and tap it and screw it into the pipe or weld a nut onto the pipe and screw it into the nut that you just welded.

You will need the heat shield if you dont have it (part 5) thats where the middle bolt attaches to.

alright well i appreciate the help guys. R Dub you have helped me on the majority of my posts and i appreciate that as well.

I can mount the bottom screw so it holds a little. I was going to take heat shield or the dei reflect heat shield and use this. http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/...4in/?id=110228

Then for the middle bolt I will rig something up.
Thansk for the help though i will let you no how it goes.

I put on a aftermarket Jardine pipe, then put a carbon fiber heat shield cover on. You have to put on the original heat shield (inner) on and then afix the heat shield (outer) to it. It makes the bike look finished.

I appreciate it man. Will the stock heat shield work with the aftermarket pipe. Will it mount right up or will i need to do modifications. I hate to ask but could you explain or take some photos. I appreciate the help.
Thanks for the response.

The inner heat shield should screw right on with the original bolts. After that is secured, you then put on the outer heat shield which screws into the inner shield. I'll get a couple pics for you later.
