Default Yoshimura assistance ?

I don't I'm going to find any.. I already searched like every forum possible.

I just hooked up Yoshimura EMS. I didn't connect connect to a PC because.. it takes a Serial port!?? (haven't seen one of those since the 90's). Anyways.. so I'm picking up a serial to usb today. Now I already went through the software and maps.. (they're .ems extensions I believe). If you look the notes on the maps given, they're pretty basic. Really really basic. as in CA and a couple Yoshimua exhaust versions. All say stock intake.. and all don't touch timing etc..

Anyone every tried to configure? or maybe even rename a PC3 maps to .ems and open up? Or am I going to have to go to the local dyno and have it tuned?

Well, adding an aftermarket air filter won't affect the curve at all, so thats a non issue. In reality without a dyno session any tuning you do is for nothing unless your running a wide band 02 sensor with constant readout to do the tuning [and even thats limited]

well here's what I did.. I downloaded the PC3 software and maps.. both applications look almost identical to be honest. Both are setup in row/column format that go by rpm's and % throttle. From there I just used the numbers based on my setup and plugged them into the Yoshimura application. Unfortunately not setups utilize any timing advances so it will take a custom tune to be right.

I feel I'm not going to be satisfied until I have it tuned at a dyno. I have 2 dyno's within 10 minutes of me.. One barely uses their's and they said they'll charge like $75 an hour? The other charges I believe $55 for 3 runs.

Do I think any of them know how to tune it properly.. hmm.. I somehow doubt it.

actually I just found 2 more places w/in 10 miles that are dynojet certified tuners. So when they open we'll see how much they cost. I have alot of motorcycle dynos in my area.. I remember when I tuned cars it was virtually impossible to find one (and expensive as hell).
