wiring up aftermarket turn signals.

wiring up aftermarket turn signals.
Bought some CF lights. They have two wires. Take off the old lights, they have 3 wires. Where does the solid green wire go? I assume the other two are power and ground, but the third wire was grounded to the bulb casing on hte signal. What do I do with this wire?

RE: wiring up aftermarket turn signals.
Your stock light are dual filament, which means there is a running light filament, and a flasher filament. The new lights are single filament, so the only way to install them on your bike is to not hook up the running light wire, which means you will have no running lights. If I remember correctly, the green wire is ground, and the two orange wires (one with a white tracer) are your running lights and flashers. I don't remember which is which. If you choose to use this option, hook up the ground and flashers only and tape the other wire off. If you choose to get duel filament aftermarket lights, remember, (IMPORTANT) the running light circuit is a low power circuit (about 8W I think), whereas the flasher is a higher power circuit (approximately 30 W). Dual filament bulbs have a large filament and a small filament. The small filament is the running light, and the large is the flasher. If you hook the 30W source up to the small filament, you will melt the light housing because the large filament is not meant to run continuously.
