Default wiring hotbodies undertail?

the instructions that were included with my hotbodies undertail are a little unclear of how to wire everything. First off my bike is an 01 F4i. On the undertail there are red, blue, black, and orange wires (2 of each color). on my bike there are two groups of three wires connected to a terminal (green, green with yellow, and black) which i assume are for the turn signals? than in 3 groups of two each there are (blue, green), (orange, green), and (brown, green). I am wondering which order the wires connect. any help is much appreciated. thanks in advance!

Have you had any luck on that install of that undertail? I just bought one...hopefully everything goes smoothly for both of us. Let me know please.

Get a multimeter. Cut the wires, then turn on the signal (which ever you cut first) touch the black lead to the frame (ground) then touch one of the wires with the red lead. If you get voltage then that is your positive wire, if not it's the negative. Pretty simple really, you just have to invest a few bucks on a multimeter. Try Radio shack, or my personal favorite, Ebay.
You can also check with the wire schematic in your manual, if you don't have a manual then you can probably download one for free or for really cheap. I'd buy the multimeter though. You will need it later. Good luck, hope I helped a little.

I just installed the Hot Bodies undertail on my 01 f4i, go to the hotbodies web site and download the instructions for the undertail, it includes the updated version with Wiring Diagram, took me 10 minutes to wire it correctly....

I had the same problem installing my turn signals. I had to call Honda east (Hondaeast.com) and they told me which wires were which.

I just taped and labeled every wire as I took off the factory tail. Then looked at the wiring instructions. Then tested wires by just touching them together and making sure everything did what it is suposed to do.
