You should be buying cold weather riding gear. No reason not to ride as long as it's above freezing and the roads are clear and dry.

Back to the post, i assume you will be storing your bike? Ive heard fuel additives are good to keep everything fresh in the tank.

If there isn't any snow or ice on the road, why garage it? I am up in the northern end of the Puget Sound in Washington and plan on riding every single day that I can. Why pay good money for a vehicle that only gets used some of the year. Heavy jacket and pants that are water proof. Some nice warm waterproof boots, and electric gloves to keep my fingers warm...

I recently went for an early morning ride with my regular gear on and thought that my fingers and chin were going to break off in chunks, it was so cold! I am definitely going to get some warmer gear. If one does store the bike for a little bit of time (like a month), is it recommended to put the bike up on stands? If you start it once a week, there should be no reason to do anything as far as additives, or battery, right?

I would also like to know about winterizing an F4i.

Fuel additives?
Oil changes?
Fluid Flushes?
Front and rear stands?
Battery maintainer would be good I'm assuming?
Chain maintenance?

I really have no idea, which is why I'm asking...

Not like you guys I unfortunately have to park my bike for our lonngg Canadian winters, But I don't mind it that much, Just means I get to rip around on the trails with My Snowmobile. As for winterizing, I replace the oil, filter, antifreeze and top off the gas tank and poor in some fuel stabalizer. Come spring, I change the oil again.
