How do I prepare my bike for winter? Is this a hard task for somone new? Is there anything i should know for winter that will prevent problems in the next season??

depends on who you talk to...

personally... i don't do much. i keep it off the ground, add a battery tender, and cover her. some add a fuel stablizer and change the oil.

oil, lube chain, fill tank, add stablizer, wash, spray bolts w/ wd40 so no rust, (not too much spray), take battery out and cover w/ a motorcycle cover or a bed sheet

or you can ride it once a week for 15 minutes and do nothing abnormal

I'd imagine you would have to be pretty dedicated to ride during the winter in Canada (depends on the region, though). I've read about fifty different ways to do it...sometimes there is too much good information on this sight!
