Why does my speedo stop at 180kmph

Default Why does my speedo stop at 180kmph
My bike is a 2002 f4i, I've not owned it long but today I found out that the speedo only reads up to 180kmph but the bike keeps on going.

What is the problem here?

Any quick fix?

From looking around it seems like Japanese bikes are restricted at 180kmph buy the ecu but mine isn't effected by the ecu it's only the speedo not reading correctly
