Who said the F4i can't lean?
I found the first video different... at the end he had his shoulder out past his knee too. Interesting for sure. Lap timer won't lie - and I'll be practising to see what works for me

I was about to swear of the stomp grips, for that exact reason. Now I may reconsider.
Ben n Matt are hangin off the bike like we are suggesting tho lol, they are just leaned that far over with the bike

On to the negatives....I can't seem to get my form down to the right at this track. Of course, there are only two rights so it's harder to practice them.
That is really interesting point about being left/right handed and how much it affects you. I'm right handed, but I find it a lot easier to make left turn.
As I also heard at some point a good remark on getting the knee down. You may deliberately get it down and scrap some asphalt or do it when it's really needed. For the look of it or actual purpose of it in other words.
But I don't have any track experience of my own, so I can't say anything for sure.

Hey JeremyGSU, I'm wondering if you are left handed. Just an observation, but I'm left handed and have had (and sometimes still have) the same problem of doing better on left turns. Others that I ride with do better on right turns and they are right handed. I've heard that people do better on rights than lefts because the throttle is easier to control on a right turn, because then it's the inside arm that's not stretched out and locked against the tank. Being a lefty blows that theory out of the water for me.
The comment I made on the guy leaning too far off the back and comparing him to Mat Madlin, well Mat has the bike leaned over a lot more than that guy as well. It's not necassarily that he's hanging off the bike as much as the fact that the bike is leaned over like crazy.
Bottom line after further thought, there is no perfect form. You can argue about form all day. I think most people use a similiar form and try to teach everyone THAT form as a rule of thumb but if you compare most AMA riders their forms all look very similiar but then throw in a guy like Larry Pegram and the idea of ideal form gets thrown out the window because his form is strange but Larry still wins races. Does that mean his form stinks? This is definitely a discussion with a lot of variables.
Judging MY form I am off the bike a little too much because then that means I can't go faster because I'm already hitting the ground and I know I could have gone faster for sure. So next time less off, more lean. See what that nets me. Oh, and I gotta practice them rights!
