Default RE: Where to buy rear tire online?

I decided I would like to replace the tire with the exact same tire. I read it isnt a good idea to mix brands. The tire I need to replace is the Michelin Pilot Sport. It is Z rated as compared to the Pilot Power which is only W rated. I really dont know the exact explanation of the ratings but my guess is Z is better! I know its something about speed handling. More expensive at least!

Has anyone replaced only the rear tire on their F4i with the pilot power instead of the pilot sport? In other words, do you think having a pilot sport front tire with a pilot power rear tire is ok?

Thanks,
Jeff

I just did for a couple of reasons. the sports came stock on the bike. I got about 6K out of them including 2 trackdays. now I belive (not sure) they are phasing out the pilot sport. everywhere i found them they were $150-$220 for them. Compared to the Pilot Power which was $120-$150 (i found 120 delivered @ motorcycletoystore.com). Now I didnt have the cash to change out the front so its still the pilot sport. I just got from a trackday and it gave great grip. I'll eventually replace the front with the pilot power. Im very happy with the results on the pilot power
(ignore the damage, happened when i locked up the front)

pics not as good as my other trackdays but i was actually faster.

Looks like $129 including shipping to NC. Looks like the best price around.

i usually just wait until my local shop has a tire sale. if there is a cycle gear around that is where i bought my set of pilot powers. i mounted them up yesterday in my garage and the grip even when barely scrubbed in is phenominal compared to stock. i got the rear for 100 bux and the front for 80. i wish i bought a couple more at that price but i didnt' want old DOT numbers sitting for a while (i sell tires for a living and dont want old stock tires on any of my vehicles)

so yea i got to support the local shop and get them cheaper than anywhere i could get them online
