Default Where to buy brake pads cheap??

Ok, so i went to the dealer today to replace my tires, they said that i need a new rear brake since its about to grind the metal and also the front ones are going to be gone soon. They wanted about $300 to change all the brakes n also to bleed the system. So i usually change my car's brakes and rotors and also bleed the system, but i was just wondering, where do you guys buy brakes from??? I only know most of car brakes and stuff, like brembo, i usually get those rotors with axxis brake pads.

But for the bike, are there such thing as semi-metallic, full ceramic, full mettalic and such that??? I tried searching the net, but can't really get a good site to what i should buy, brand i should buy, where i can buy them and how much they're suppose to go for and now how much i saw them for. i have no clue what to get, what is good, and what is expensive.

Also, for the speed bleeders, do we use the SB8125L for the front and back or SB7100 for the front's n SB8125L for the back?

If you guys can give me links to where to purchase the brake pads and also answer the bleeder question, that will be great. BTW its an 2001 f4i.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

i bought mine from the honda shop... $50.00 for the rear set. it was oe honda brake pads. i just loosened the caliper, removed the pads , pressed in the pistons slowly with a clamp, put in the new ones, pumped up the brakes and was good to go in 15 minutes start to finish. i didnt even have to bleed them since i never let any air in to the system, if you dont open any of the brake lines you should be alright. people in this forum say www.ronayers.com is a good place to go. i also heard that ebc pads eat into the rotors more than oe pads, not sure if that is true though.....

Aftermarkets tend to eat the rotors a little more than OE because they're a harder compound. The trade off is better bite, stopping power and feel. The HH brake pads are awesome.

I agree with chainstretcher. Get yourself some good EBC Double-H pads. They are around 30-$32 a set. Order them from www.chaparral-racing.com They have the best prices. Install them yourself... very easy to do.

I also recommend the EBC-HH pads. Great product and they bite a ton better than stock.

Email LMsports@frontiernet.net
The guys name is Rob and he is a great guy. He always gives me honest answers and his prices are good. He races and is pretty knowledgable about what parts are good/bad.
