Default what does a loose CCT sound like?

My bike is making a noise and i am not sure what it is. There hasnt been a performance loss and it isnt that annoying, i am just curious as to what it is and was thinking it may be the CCT. Can someone who has had to replace/fix their CCT explain what it sounded like/what side of the bike is it loudest on/did it get louder when you open or close the throttle/etc?

hmm i know what it sounds like, but to explain it is another question, i guess u could say kinda like a fast rattle, and u usualy hear it when ur off the throttle.

I've heard people explain it as a "Can of BBs" rattling

What separates the CCT noise from other noises, is the specific RPM range that the rattling is present. If your noise is present around the 5K RPM range, then it most likely is your CCT. And I think just about everybody who has an F4i has or will have this problem. From what I understand, it doesn't pose a problem.

Before I had my cct replaced, it sounded like a can of bb's as mentioned above. Just like lifties said, my bike made the rattle noise around the 5500-7500 RPM range wether or not I was on the throttle. As for putting a new one in, mine was fixed under warranty so I dont know how it would be, but there are many others on this forum who used a longer bolt to fix it for under $2.

it sounds like 50 bucks in quarters rolling around inside your bike. because thats what its going to cost to buy the ape manual tensioner.
