i usually shift pretty early, like 4-5 because it usually sounds like its over revving... maybe bc im used to driving a manual car...

 

Does this thing ('01 F4i) *have* a rev limiter, BTW? I just bought one setup for the track and ran itlast week at Willow Springs - it seemed to quit breathing around 14k so I was upshifting anyway, but never actually hit a rev limiter.

I have an 01 F4i and yes mine does have a rev limiter. The redline is about 14,200 then you'll hit it.

anywho, in town, I usually shift at around 4-5k... cruising, 7-10k, and if I need to get somewhere in a hurry, 12-14k.

 

I shift whem my CCTL buzz starts annoying me.
