What is a 520 conversion?

Default What is a 520 conversion?

What is it and what would it do to my bike (speed wise)?

520 Conversion is a chain and sprocket kit designed to save weight on both the chain and the sprocket...less weight means more horsepower...the gearing will determine your acceleration. Lower gearing is for faster takeoffs, wheelies, ect..but less top speed.

Wheelies you say (as I srcatch my chin and smile)[&:]. I think Im gonna go with a 520 DID pro series with rivet link. A local motorcycle shop owner told me that for the street he suggest's that I add 4 teeth to the rear and leave the front standard (16,50 a ratio 3:13). What do yall th

you will ose around 2-3 mph on top end for every tooth you go up in the back. i would go down one in the front and go from there. that way you are not having to buy 4-5 different sprockets for the back.
