So i brought my bike to a mechanic this week to get the CCTL changed out, and to check the valve lash. He changed out the CCTL, didn't need to adjust the lash, and the bike runs great except the idle problem. Before i brought him the bike, when i would snap the throttle the revs would jump up, and come down again without hesitation to 1300 RPM. Now when i do it, the revs come down, but they seem to hesitate as they drop, not quickly like before, and my idle is all out of wack. Its idling now somewhere around 1800 RPM, and it isn't stable. Any possible ideas as to what could cause this?? I'm not getting any codes coming up, and i JUST changed my FPR a month ago to fix another issue so i'm fairly confident that isn't the issue.

 

Probably a loose vaccum hose that didnt get tight enough or has ripped.
He might have messed with the throttle bodies sync too.

 

Thanks man, i lifted the tank and sure enough the large hose on the front of the airbox was partially on, and the 2 small lines on the back weren't even connected. Re-attached them and the problem went away.

 

No prob man, glad with was simple enough not to waste too much time troubleshooting.
