Weird Engine Noises! HELP!
I don't post here often but hopefully someone can help, I usually just lurk and do searches for people with my problems too but so far nothing I have found has been described as the same.
Recently I had to replace my regulator rectifier. On the 2 hour ride home from my father's garage I noticed that in neutral there was a new clicking sound toward the right side of the engine. I know what your thinking! CCT. I know mine needs replacing but it sounds like the clutch plates are rattling or something.
The other sound that was brand new after the regulator rectifier replacement was at higher rpms from 1-2, and 2-3 shifts, there was a bogging down of the engine almost making a loud "farting" noise. This only happens on easy shifts at these higher rpms.
These have boggled my mind! I even took my bike to the local Honda dealership and had them test ride it. They couldn't reproduce the sounds though. They also said the "ticking" at idle was normal and that it was just my clutch plates rattling together while the clutch was disengaged, and that the reason it goes away when I engage it is they are clenching together?
Does anyone have any idea what my problem is!??!?!
