ahaha Aken he'd absolutely demolish me at the track. he's embarrasing AWD evo's and sti's off the line!!!! and not only that, for safety reasons, they wont let a bike run a car at our 1/4 mile. At the track i'd have a huge disadvantage b/c when he launches its like he's getting rearended by a frieght train at full speed! i'll see if i can get him to send me the vid of him racing a AWD sti....

Dude's got a 2005, though
Word? Oh I see, the OP called it an 06 and at the bottom of the post it clearly reads 2005.

No matter, the 400hp 6.0L LS2 started in the 2005 model year, so he has it either way.

lol my friends gto would take my *** hands down, hes on ls1gto forum as paco loco. i thought my bike was fast but his would walk on me. its sick the amount of power the goats put out espically forced induction stock block turboed/sc can produce well over 800 hp and run 10's all day at the track. gotta love american muscle coming at ya, lol but always remember we can walk them at the twisties/road courses so at least we have that!

Hes ultimately gonna win just due to the sheer difference in dispalment between you both. A 5.7 liter corvette engine just has more to give at high speeds.
The 2006 GTO is actually a 6.0L LS2 V8, up from the debut model's 5.7L.
The only problem is that its still a pontiac : /

...and im out!

A lot of people are surprised when a car can keep up with a bike. And yes, it is quite impressive, but 600cc bikes are 10 second bikes with PRO racers. Most people on a street bike don't know how to drag race properly, so it's not surprising when a 12-second car starts poking around with bikes.

1000cc bikes are a different monster with their 9-second times on the track. Scary fast.

Technically, no, it's a Holden from Australia - rebadged and outfitted for U.S.D.O.T. regulations.

Granted, it's no Mercedes. But the GTO is far beyond the quality of the Pontiac Grand Ams and Bonnevilles, both inside (especially) and out.

I drove a G6 rental today. Pretty nice. I like my Subaru better, though.

well, a little update from an old thread for whoever gives a rats ***. as we know, i totaled the F4i that i was on when we raced. i now have the '08 RR, but..............he has new mods to his list, lol. he ended up putting a performance tranny in that'll withstand up to 700hp. he went to the track today and was pulling 10.9's CONSISTENTLY!!!!! his 60' times were around 1.5 . his 0-60 is 2.5sec...........not sure how he'd do against my new RR as the power on that bike is much different from my F4i. i think if we did the same race as last time (roll) then i'd prob get a much bigger jump on him since the power on this RR is in the middle and up high in the rpms, not just up high like the F4i. we still want to get a vid of us racing one another on a deserted road.

he's also get meth injection hooked up in a month or two.

and i know some people hate the car vs. bike ****. this wasnt so much planned (the original post), we just kinda both took off heading back down the road. it was more for OUR amusement as we always go back and forth on who's quicker (since he's just starting to learn more about bikes).

anywho, i think w/ what he's doing now.......he may crush the RR too haha
