Default water pump

Hi guys, as some of you may have seen on my newbie thread I am part of my university's formula student racing team.
We have to design, build and race our car against other universities from around the world. The reason I'm posting here is because our car will use an F4i to power it.
My role within the team is to design the cooling system and this is where my questions begin!

I was wondering if any of you guys know the exact weight and flow rate of the original water pump?

I would measure it myself but we do not currently have one and I cant seem to find the info anywhere

Any help would appreciated
Terry

I don't know what it is and I'm not sure that's something that is published anywhere. From a curiosity standpoint what would be the reason for knowing that information ?

The reason I want to know is that I am going to replace the manual water pump with an electric pump. I would like to know the weight so I can quote the weight difference and I would like to know the flow rate to help choose a suitable electric pump

How about a trade? Ill remove clean and weigh a pump... in grams or ounces whichever you prefer.. if you can get me an accurate cad drawing of an f4i engine.?

Beat you to it I'm afraid We managed to get hold of another engine last night and I stripped it and weighed it this morning.
This also means that when the engine is running on our test rig I can finally find the flow rate

So how much did the water pump weigh ? What will you plug the opening in the engine case with no water pump shaft and O ring plugging it ?
