Start the bike, wait for the temp to register, easy ride til temp comes up further.
I think the whole warm up thing is mainly for carb'd bikes. If you don't let them warm up completely they can
stall, stutter, and or be down on power until warmed up (DANGER!). These FI bikes almost eliminate that no
matter what temp they're at.

PS. I live in Canada. Bikes take a while to warm up at idle here. Plus my neighbours would kill me if my bike sat there idling for 10-20 minutes
with the Yosh right near their bedroom window
