Default Velocity Stacks??

I track my bike a good bit and looking at Velocity Stacks. Since there are no aftermarket v-stacks for the f4i I'm thinking about something else. Would 03-04 600rr V-stacks work on an F4i?? Has anyone done this mod and how did it work out. The bolt patterns are the same for the most part. I also thought about trying to swap in a set of 600rr throttle bodies to see if I could squeeze a little more power out of it. I have a set of 04 600rr throttle bodies at my shop. I would have to eliminate the secondary fuel rail of course but just curious if any of these mods have been done and do they work? Power gains??

Stacks have their length set depending on each engine's power curve so using a different engines stacks most likely will make you loose power if anything. The throttle bodys won't gain you anything as the F4i isen't lacking in airflow to begin with.

No problem. If you really want power gains beyong the exhaust/tuner route then unfortuneatly you have to spend the really big bucks for HRC cams, higher compression and cylinder head work. And if you've seen the prices that HRC parts bring, you'll probably think its not worth it like me.

Yeah the only HRC part I invested in was a quick throttle kit. It's the one for the 03-04 600rr so its pretty much a direct replacement. Only mod I had to do was drill a new hole in the clip on for the throttle housing to seat into. HRC parts are definitely over priced. I found some other cams online for less than half the price of the HRC ones though.
