Default Valve chatter and CTT noise?

Hey im still not sure that the noise made by the engine around 5k-6k rpms is normal im going to take it in soon for the winter maintence and i will have it checked out then to be sure. Can someone just explain what valve chatter or the CTT noise might sound like to give me a better idea. The bike sounds great and if its in neutral the bike does not make the noise it only makes it when driving but it could just be the sound of the engine (sorry new to bikes :/)

Also do you guys/gals use anything special to wash or wipe down your bikes?

Thanks again for all the help this site is great!! oh and i have all my gear now expcept the jacket might get one tonight

The bike is a 2002, with 21K on it. ITs in really great condition not even a scratch on it. I paid 5k for it.

did the previous owner get a valve clearance check done yet? if not you'll need to do that, and while you're at it, might as well just drop ina new cctl.
